"He's not a baby in a manger anymore. He's not a broken man on a cross. He didn't stay in the grave, and He's not staying in heaven forever. He's alive!"

This is the Scripture that was read over my internship every night when I was at the International House of Prayer in 2006...
Isaiah 62
Zion’s Coming Salvation
1(A) For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not be quiet,
(B) until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
and her salvation as a burning torch.
2(C) The nations shall see your righteousness,
and all the kings your glory,
(D) and you shall be called by a new name
that the mouth of the LORD will give.
3You shall be(E) a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD,
and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
4(F) You shall no more be termed(G) Forsaken,[a]
and your land shall no more be termed Desolate,[b]
(H) but you shall be called(I) My Delight Is in Her,[c]
and your land Married;[d]
for the LORD delights in you,
and your land shall be married.
5For as a young man marries a young woman,
so(J) shall your sons marry you,
and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
so(K) shall your God rejoice over you.
...it is such an awesome picture of who God is and what He loves to do in His people!

A first time for everything?
I bought my first ever Jonas Brothers song on iTunes tonight. :)
"You're the voice I hear inside my head the reason that I'm singing. I need to find you, I gotta find you. You're the missing piece I need the song inside of me. I need to find you, I gotta find you..."

It must be my turn
I went to everyone's blog tonight when I came home from work...and since no one except Camila has posted anything in the past few days, I guess that must mean it's my turn.
I am doing very well. I am also very exhausted. Whew! What a week this will be!!! I coached nearly 12 straight hours on Monday, did my normal 7 hours on Tuesday, and another 10 straight hours today. That's a lot of talking and a lot of moving mats (and kids) and standing on my feet. I managed to have enough will power/energy to do some exercises when I came home (nothing standing). ;)
I don't normally coach so much in one day, but one of our coaches took the week off...something about a honeymoon and Bosnia/Croatia. Whatever. Sounds like a pretty lame excuse to me. ;P
After Friday at 1:30 I will be free!!! The gym is closed all next week. So very much looking forward to chillin* a bit after this fun but exhausting week.
Katherine's birth mother and her husband and children are coming for a visit next week. She is so excited and looking forward to meeting her in person. They've been e-mailing and talking on the phone for several months and the excitement is mutual.
I feel so privelaged that my family got to adopt Kat. Adoption is such an amazing thing, an amazing picture of what Christ accomplished on the cross for us - once we were strangers and fatherless, but now through His blood we have been adopted into His family. Thank You Jesus!
I have been eating a lot of G.O.R.P.** this week. It makes a good snack and is easy to eat.
To prevent myself from just rambling and babbling on about nothing in particular, I'm going to end this post now. If you need me...I'm in the shower.
And I just wanted to say "much love" to all of my wonderful friends out there! I appreciate you all so much! Thanks for who are in my life.
*i.e. painting, cutting, sewing, gluing, stapling, etc... and moving trees!!! To see why, go to overlooktheatre.org

It's La La!
Today my dear friend Laura came from DC to Franklin so we could 'shower' her with our love and presents! It was so much fun. I went with her to the hair salon where her perfect red tresses were beautifully styled - practice for the big day. I got to meet miss Shelly, Michael's lovely mother, all the way from San Diego. Jennie planned so many wonderful and fun games, all about getting to know Michael and their relationship more. The food was out of this world and everything and everyone looked amazing. I should have taken pictures!
It was very nice to get to see Laura and spend a good portion of the day with her. I am so thankful Michael is moving her to Charlotte! Thanks Mikey!!! :)
P.S. She modeled the gown, veil, and the works. Oh wow!

Somethings should only be indulged in small amounts
I watched one of my favorite movies for the second time ever this evening. It's so bad. The end when they're on the boat just stirs up something inside. I don't really know what it is...or why it happens. I mean, I guess I do, but I don't also. The desire, the need to belong to something-someone-to be important and special to someone...it's quite powerful. I know that ultimately that desire is met in God...that He places it there to bring us close to Him...and I am thankful for that. But sometimes, it hurts.

Tattoo
So this morning I went to the fridge, hungry for something good to eat, and I pull out a cheese stick. And what should fall to the floor from the cheese stick bag ? A Shrek & Fiona tattoo of course! I had to put it on and have rejoiced in my juvenility all day long. :)
No Air
This dance from "So You Think You Can Dance?" was my favorite from this weeks show. It is so raw and beautiful and powerful. Josh + Katee perform a hip-hop routine about a soldier leaving for war and his last moments with his wife. I hope you enjoy it.
