Huh?

Some people call it pay back, others call it revenge, and still others say it is getting even... but I call it keeping a friends things fresh while they are out of town. Think of how little dusting is required now!

What I found in my shower this morning

This is too much. At least my toothbrush was spared.

Cam's Video

THIS is what I came home to last night!

This is war

I didn't start the fire...but I sure know how to add to it!

Yesterday we moved a bunch of pictures from the old apartment and started hanging them. Since it was Anneke's birthday, we went to coldstone and then picked up a box of puzzles.

My beautiful week

Exhibition is over, and in 2 days I am flying to Colorado!

Today I had an hour and a half massage - thanks Team for the Christmas present! It was heavenly. When I stood up I felt as though I had been druged, I was so relaxed.

So 2 more days of work then off to see Anneke and Andrew and Marcail! This is going to be a beautiful week!

Drive by sighting

My sister told me today that when she drove home from work last night there were 2 guys with super soakers outside; one crouched behind Camila's car and one around the side of the house. She identified one but didn't know the other...
...now, I wonder what that was about??? ;)

Finding truth in Desperate Housewives

When I was in Florida visiting my grandmother 2 weekends ago, I saw part of Desperate Housewives. Now, I have never watched this show and don't know who the characters are or really anything except what I have seen in a few commercials. My general impression is it's a show about people who run around sleeping with people they shouldn't.
We were waiting for the news to come on when I caught the last 5 minutes of an episode.

In a nutshell from my memory:

Boss has employee in restaurant for business lunch.
A few basic pleasantries are exchanged.
Boss says: Are you sleeping with my wife?
Employee: Excuse me?
B: Are you sleeping with my wife?
E: No!
B: Ok. Quit.
E: WHAT!!??? No!
B: Quit.
E: No. You are going to have to fire me.
B: You would love that, wouldn't you?
E: Ok, I'll quit when your wife asks me to.
(At this point, I realized employee wasn't so upstanding as he first seemed, but I was blown away by what the husband said next.)
B: You know what? She (wife's name) will never leave her family. You may find her in a weak moment and she may do something that will put a wound in our marriage that will take years to heal. But I will love her twice as much as she hates herself for what she did.

At this point I became shocked at seeing the nature of God so vividly displayed in Desperate Housewives! It was something I thought alot about in the following days.
God doesn't take away my free will. I can choose to do things that are harmful to me and those around me. He is still there, loving me the same because His love is based on His choice and not my actions. He's always ready to forgive and heal as soon as I turn and repent.

Happy Mother's Day!

Where would we be without mothers?

I love my muddie! Happy mother's day! :)

It's over

Tonight was the final performance of Footloose. We had a packed house all 3 nights, and the crowd was great, especially tonight. The cast did a wonderful job, and even reverend got his line straight in the end (although spiritual peril is no laughing matter).
It was loads of fun. Thanks everyone for a memorable time!!!

Where I've been

Last night was opening night for Footloose. The house was packed and the show was great!
If you haven't made it yet, get your tickets at the Chamber of Commerce (or try at the door) because we have two more performances, tonight and tomorrow at 7:30.

I haven't heard an official ticket count, but we had to have had well over 500 people, probably closer to 650. There were precious few empty chairs in the building.

This week I haven't been home for much more than to sleep. Monday I was driving back from Florida where I had been visiting my wonderful Grammie. Tuesday I worked all day. Wednesday I cleaned the house like a crazy person and Thursday I was in DSS court all morning and at the gym until it was time to go to the show. Today I turned off my phone and slept in - I really needed to, I have been feeling so worn out.

Yesterday I had trouble remembering the end of one of my classes routines. I had neglected to write it down last week and all I knew is that I had finished it, but I didn't like it. So instead of trying to remember it, I made up a new one which looks great. I finally feel like I am ready for exhibition! (Which is good since it's a week from today!)

Well, hopefully this morning while I'm home alone I'll be able to avoid raucous party plans and things fraught with spiritual moral.

They're the same!

I was looking at Overlook pictures (for some random reason) and found this:

I haven't laughed that much since...

Wednesday. Tonight I hadn't laughed that much since yesterday afternoon. Is that crazy or what? But, oh, did we have fun!
