I am super excited because tomorrow morning I'm driving to Charlotte to spend the day with the lovely, fabulous Laura Keck...uhh..Barker (old habits...)  and she is taking me to see Rent tomorrow night with Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal reviving their original roles.
Nothing like a little mini-vacation in the middle of the week!

Anniversary

Today marks the 36th anniversary of Roe V.  Wade.
Since then we have murdered  48,000,000 of our children and countless women have suffered the emotional and physical trauma, even sometimes death, of having their child ripped from their body.

Lord Jesus, I plead your blood over my sins and the sins of my nation.  God, end abortion and send revival to America.  Bring healing to those who are hurting from an abortion.

This is also Sanctity of Human Life Week, and all week Focus on the Family is airing pro-life/pro-family broadcasts on their daily radio program.

24 Hours -- A World of Difference

Americans watched on television as President Bush's jumbo jet soared out of sight yesterday--and with him, a long record of protecting the unborn. Although the Obama administration is a little over 24 hours old, the new President has already set to work undoing years of pro-life and pro-family policy.

Minutes after Obama took the oath of office, the transfer of power was made complete on the White House website. The page, once home to a host of family values, now welcomes an extreme collection of anti-life, anti-woman, and anti-family agendas. Under the caption "civil rights," Obama pledges to fight for nationwide civil unions, repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act, homosexual adoption, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, expanded "hate crimes," and over 1,100 costly same-sex benefits. He promises to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" as well as block a federal amendment to preserve marriage. In exchange for the support of groups like Planned Parenthood, the abortion business is also due for a rich payoff from the 44th president, including his support of abortion-on-demand, more funding for "family planning" programs, embryonic stem cell experiments, and tax-funded abortion.

It is snowing

I love watching it snow!  It is so pretty and magical.
Last night Cam, Kat, EO and I went out for dinner and as we drove back home we took the long cut up Town Hill.  We made it but the car was slipping the whole way - it was so icy!

The Most Wonderful Thing...

...Not really, but it felt like it at the moment.
The most wonderful thing was realizing that nothing but a good night's sleep stood between me and working on Seuss!  :)  When I realized it I laughed out loud, I was so happy.

I have had a wonderful weekend.  Most of it did not go as I expected, but isn't that life?  I am so happy and rested.  And tonight was our home group's first meeting back since the holidays.  We are reading the 4 Loves by C.S. Lewis and discussing it.  I love C.S. Lewis and have not read this particular book before, so I am looking forward to getting into it and having some wonderful discussion with some wonderful ladies.   (Not that gentlemen are necessarily excluded, it's just that there aren't any!)

I may not have a chance to post again til next weekend.

Love God and love people and always make time for the most important things.
