A rant.

I have no problem with people counting out loud, and counting to eight repeatedly is a perfectly logical thing if you are going to be working with music. Where I start having an issue is when the music is playing and you are still counting to eight but with absolutely no relationship to the music. I assume that if you are smart enough to count to eight, then you should be able also to know where those eight beats fall in the music. It really does matter. However, if you are unable to hear it then please, either don't play the music or don't count. My sanity is on the line!!!
